Paraffinotherapy
The medical properties of paraffin wax were known already in the Roman Empire. Is a type of superficial thermotherapy physical procedure, which accelerates healing, relieves pain in muscles and joints, soothes and moisturises the skin, opens pores, increases circulation.
Paraffin acts as an analgesic, reduces muscle tension, increases the elasticity of connective tissue, causes vasodilatation of blood vessels, improves tissue oxygen supply, thereby accelerating regeneration.
In the physical therapy it is used for osteoarthritis, in the remission stages of rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis, fibromyalgia, muscle spasm, joint contractures (stiffness) after immobilisation, psoriasis, keloid scars. Not recommended for diabetes and varicose veins.
